A messenger of God posted a sticky note on my car

Can silent prayers from the heart be answered with physical signs of support from Divine individuals?

There is no doubt in my mind that God’s representatives can tune in to one’s thoughts and even deliver a response in writing. In all seriousness, what follows might be seen as further proof, among countless other miraculous phenomena in recent decades, that divine beings are working with us and listening closely to our thoughts, prayers and pleas for succor.

Before going into the story, allow me to provide some background context for all of this to make more sense.

Back in 2004, after reading The Great Approach, by Benjamin Creme, I began working with a large network of volunteers to make known the existence of a certain group of wise Teachers living among us. They are the Master of Wisdom, or Lords of Compassion. At the head of this group is the Coming One awaited under different titles, whose personal name is Maitreya. He holds the office of the Christ, a position rather than name according to the Ageless Wisdom Teachings. Maitreya is also the Bodhisattva in Eastern terminology. His colossal stature as an avatar of love and wisdom will soon be recognized as he begins to speak openly to all of humanity. Under the inspiration of Maitreya, we will begin to build a new, golden, civilization centered around the principles of justice, synthesis and cooperation.

Share International, a monthly publication that is produced by an international team of volunteers since 1982, blends spiritual and political topics, along with highlighting the great work of altruistic humanitarians. While focusing on Maitreya’s priorities, both the magazine itself and this network of volunteers have sought to inform the world of the public emergence of Maitreya and his group, the Masters of Wisdom. Benjamin Creme (1922–2016), the magazine’s founding chief editor, was in telepathic rapport with one of the Masters of Wisdom since 1959. In every issue you will find letters to the editor revealing heartfelt encounters with unusual people. Nearly all of these encounters are with a ‘familiar’ of Maitreya or perhaps a ‘familiar’ of the Master Jesus. In some cases, it may be a spokesperson or disciple of one of the Masters.

As members of the Spiritual Hierarchy of our planet, the Masters act as healers, guides, protectors and overseers of the evolution of consciousness for the human kingdom and all other kingdoms on our planet. They continually interact with us in myriad ways. Miracles and extraordinary signs are not uncommon these days for those with the “eyes to see”.

This is where I’d like to start with my story. While it may be easy for sceptics to brush off the following as a case where one simply “sees what they’re looking for”, I ask the reader in all sincerity, does the presented evidence—not to mention extreme unlikeliness of this sequence of events randomly occurring in such a short period of time and directed to a specific person—not seem remarkable?

On February 13, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, I was sitting alone in a friend’s cottage where our Transmission Meditation group meets three times a week. Having arrived early, I stared at some framed pictures of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and Maitreya (the 1988 Nairobi, Kenya appearance) while asking our Divine Mentors for spiritual strength. I had been recovering from strep throat for the past couple of weeks. At the same time, I was also feeling disconnected inwardly. You might say I needed a little “pick-me-up” beyond the physical level. I have inwardly told Maitreya over the years that I don’t really need a physical sign for encouragement, although I’m always open to such happenings. At this moment in time, however, I was subtly asking for a sign without fervently expecting anything of an obvious nature.

Approximately 46 hours later, on February 15...

My work day had just ended. As I walked through the parking lot and approached my car, I stared at my customized license plate holder. It has two lines of text, one above and one below the plate: “Peace Requires Sharing” and “S.O.P. — Save Our Planet!”. This text is fairly small and doesn’t stand out, but I sometimes feel self-conscious at my workplace and wonder how many people have noticed it. What would they think about the word “sharing”? Does anyone misinterpret this as radical socialism?

Upon reaching for my car door handle I found a bright sticky note attached to the driver side window. Immediately, I recognized it was a Biblical verse and assumed a fundamentalist Christian had posted similar notes on other cars. While glancing around the parking lot, no other notes were to be found. Then I sat down to read the entire message with full attention.

Normally, the Old Testament is the last place I’d turn for inspiration, but whoever composed this note knew exactly what words to offer and how to present it for my state of mind. The greatest feeling of appreciation and joy poured through my heart as I pondered on these sentences and the mystery of who wrote them.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you: He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

Of course, I cannot prove a Master of Wisdom or one of Their associates was behind this act of loving support. However, it’s nearly impossible to imagine any ‘normal’ person would have placed such a timely and perfectly crafted note in the way it appeared. This is for everyone who has ever wondered if Divine messengers are real. Truly, I would say to all believers, the Lord of Love “goes with you” who have faith.

Closing Comments

My intention in writing this piece was to report the facts of this unique experience. It’s funny what can happen when the rational mind is confronted with contradictory signals from the heart. Do you trust a conclusion stemming from your intuition or dismiss what cannot be easily connected with empirical evidence? It’s highly improbable that such an inspirational note could have appeared at all. What led me to firmly conclude it was directed from a source of higher consciousness was the choice of words combined with the timing. The odds of this randomly happening are astronomical, let’s be honest.

You might ask what I think is a fair question: “Well what about the handwriting? It’s not immaculate. They even scribbled out a misspelling in Deuteronomy.” Yes, I would say, that’s a mistake I immediately noticed. Not to get dragged down in details, but there are a few important points I’d like to make when it comes to imperfections like this.

  • The Masters typically have help from ‘lower’ levels, meaning an associate or disciple living and working in the real world. For example, A Course in Miracles, a well-known book in new age circles, was stepped down two levels in order to be written and reach the masses. According to Benjamin Creme and his Master, the Master Jesus provided the teachings through a discarnate disciple (between Earth lives) where it was ultimately received by a living disciple who translated the ideas into written form. There is no reason to assume a Master was directly behind the physical manifestation of the note. Anyone else could easily make an honest mistake or two.
  • It’s quite possible that the imperfections were intentional. That may seem counterintuitive until you consider the fact that the Masters desire for us to develop a strong sense of intuition and sensitivity to the subtle planes of life. We are so materialistic in our everyday thinking that what seems illogical on the plane of the lower mind may be perfectly clear on a higher plane of consciousness like the buddhic plane of the Soul. By introducing elements that may lead to doubt, our perception of reality is thoroughly tested. We still have a choice, and that choice allows us to build strength.
  • This type of handwriting goof — crossing a letter out and ending up with a messy word — is something I often do myself, like when signing birthday cards.

Maitreya gave 140 messages through Benjamin Creme (via a process called overshadowing) between 1977 and 1982. In his 10th message, Maitreya said, “Those who search for signs will find them, but my manifestation is more simple.” Ever since then, huge crosses of light have appeared on windows of homes and churches; mysterious light patterns have shown up on buildings; religious statues have wept tears, blood and even pearls; for four days in 1995, Hindu statues ‘drank’ milk offerings from spoons, as witnessed by millions of people worldwide, including journalists; a 3-dimensional hand print was found on a mirror in Barcelona, Spain, re-appearing after first being wiped away. The list goes on and on. Many ordinary people have witnessed something profoundly important that indicates we are not alone. Greater forces than we tend to imagine are at work in our lives. They cannot be explained by conventional science.
